1st National Congress of Master’s Programs in EducationResearch and Pedagogical Innovation · 2027

Overview

The Master’s in Education program at Universidad de Concepción, in collaboration with the Master’s in Education program at Universidad de Tarapacá, invites graduate students, university academics, school leadership teams, practicing teachers and education researchers to participate in the 1st National Congress of Master’s Programs in Education: Research and Pedagogical Innovation.

This academic event seeks to promote the exchange of research, action-research experiences, pedagogical innovations and improvement proposals connected to the Chilean education system, fostering dialogue among graduate education, professional teaching practice, educational management and the production of situated knowledge.

Rationale

Current challenges in education require academic spaces capable of connecting educational research with real issues faced by school, university and professional communities. In this context, the Congress is conceived as a link between universities and the education system.

The Congress particularly recognizes the value of action research as an appropriate approach for understanding, intervening in and transforming situated educational practices, as well as for systematising experiences and generating contextualized pedagogical knowledge.

General objective

To promote a space for dialogue, exchange and collaborative construction between the academic community of the Master’s in Education program and diverse actors in the education system, fostering a two-way relationship that enables the sharing of knowledge, experiences and needs from school contexts, thereby strengthening graduate education and improving educational practices.

Specific objectives

  1. Create opportunities for exchange among students, academics, teachers, school leaders and other education professionals.
  2. Share results from innovative experiences and research conducted within Master’s programs.
  3. Gather needs, challenges and experiences from the education system as inputs to strengthen research lines, student training and community engagement.
