The first woman to serve as Rector of UdeC

Dr. Jacqueline Sepúlveda Carreño officially assumed the Rectorship of Universidad de Concepción on May 14, 2026, for the 2026–2030 term. Her investiture made her the first woman to lead the University in its 107-year history.

Her early management priorities have emphasized university community unity, well-being, a more agile and connected administration, integration across campuses, and strengthening the University’s public and regional role.
